AC Magnetostriction Biased on DC Magnetization in Various Magnetization Directions.

This paper describes ac magnetostriction (λ ac) biased on dc magnetization (Bdc) in various magnetization directions. Magnetostriction λ ac is small in both easy (0°) and hard (55°) magnetization directions. Biased on Bdc, it is also smaller in both these directions than in other directions.The λ ac hysteresis is the largest in the magnetization direction of 30° It is thought that domain structures between magnetizing and demagnetizing are much different. DC-biased magnetization makes the λ ac hysteresis increase in almost direction, especially at 30°.
