Development Optimization Strategy in Highly Heterogeneous and Thinly Bedded Reservoirs

Field D is comprised of non-associated gas reservoirs with significant stratigraphic heterogeneity, thin column heights with flank and bottom water risk. This paper will focus on the integrated approach to address development plan challenges, modifications to the original FDP to achieve improved reservoir understanding with less capital expenditure, final results and surprises encountered for the initial seven well program, all while achieving better than anticipated gas volumes. These post-funding changes were designed to maximize gas production while also managing the considerable reservoir uncertainty.
