High-Sensitivity Linear Silicon Electro-Optic Modulation and Filtering for RF Photonics

Optimization of a Silicon electro-optic modulator design achieves a VπL of 0.085Vcm while still maintaining linearity (60db SFDR). An integrated on-chip filter yields a stop band of <-100 db and a roll-off bandwidth of 7GHz.
