Surveys were conducted in Ayas, Beypazari and Nallihan districts of Ankara province during May-November 2003-2004 in order to detect fungal foliage pathogens of tomato, and to find out the incidence, prevalence and occurrence times of these pathogens. Leaf diseases caused significant damage on field grown tomatoes in Ankara province. The most widespread disease was powdery mildew caused by Leveillula taurica by which was found on 49.8 % of the plants and it was followed by Alternaria leaf spots caused by Alternaria solani (20.7%) and Alternaria alternata (6.42%). Alternaria alternata was found pathogenic on Joker, Gokce and Falcon tomato cultivars and caused leaf spots similar to the ones caused by Alternaria solani.
