The invention relates to a preparation method of anti-tearing edge rubber for a steel cable core conveyer belt. The preparation method comprises the following processing steps of: plasticating, namely adding 70 to 100 parts of natural rubber into an open mill and adding 1 to 30 parts of butadiene rubber to plasticate; mixing, namely adding the plasticated rubber into an internal mixer, adding a tackifier, a reinforcing system and a softening system into the internal mixer, and refining the mixture at the temperature of between 110 and 130 DEG C for 3 to 5 minutes; adding the mixture into a vulcanization system, refining the mixture at the temperature of between 80 and 100 DEG C for 3 to 5 minutes; performing heat bodying on the rubber to produce sheets, namely refining the mixed rubber again in the open mill; cutting the refined rubber into long-stripped rubber materials; and producing edge rubber, namely feeding the long-stripped rubber materials into an edge rubber extruder to produce the edge rubber. The edge rubbers have strong tearing resistance. When the steel cable conveyer belt is returned, the edge parts of the belt are not torn by using the edge rubber with high anti-tearing capacity.
