NUEVOS DATOS SOBRE LA COMPOSICIÓN MINERAL Y CLASIFICACIÓN DEL DEPÓSITO FERBERITICO, CUBA

2018
The ferberite mineralization has been studied at different intervals of time, but has not developed an exploration depth undermine knowing that mineralization is complex (W, Mo, Bi, Sn, Au, Ag, Cu). According to the current metallogenic classification is related to the orogenic deposit in environment (subduction / collision), mesothermal, hosted in siliciclastic sequences. Using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and fluorescence spectrometry dispersive energy (EDS) X-rays, minerals group of phosphates belonging to the families of rare earth, the aluminosilicates and uranium were identified for the first time. The presence of minerals of rare earth groups: Monazite, Xenotime, (both determined previously in Delita) and Ruselita, of silicate Alumo cordierite and uranium (could constitute a geochemical specialization for these groups of minerals). Solve the problem lay in providing new information to highlight the value and complexity of ores, increase the degree of study in the knowledge of its mineralogical composition and on this basis to make the corresponding forecasts metallogenic in areas with similar conditions. So this information draws attention to decision makers about the potential of these minerals to be evaluated in greater depth and a new approach to research ores. It is recommended to carry out research of detail to define and assess their potential economic impact.
