Design and Implementation of a Warfield Unmanned Ground Vehicle to Carry Payload

2020
The main objective of this project is to design and implement a Warfield-based unmanned ground vehicle that is capable of carrying medical supplies, scouting, spying, and information transfer from the enemy territory to the fellow soldiers. The UGV can be used where it is difficult for a human foot soldier to access. The transport payload is another important aspect of this project. For usage in real-time scouting, the UGV is also capable of retrieving video feeds in night mode and can detect the presence of metals in contact with the vehicle. Both Arduino and Raspberry Pi 3 have been used in the control unit of the UGV. Various sensors like ultrasonic sensor, infrared sensor, motion sensor, and GPS module are used to get more information of the environment and behavior of the UGV. WI-FI module is used for wireless communication between the UGV and foot soldiers which is a less cost and reliable form of communication. The whole project is oriented toward the development of a UGV in wartime or emergency situation, it is also capable of surveillance and exploration.
