Coupled Co–Pt nanoparticles in C matrix

Abstract Co–Pt/C alloy films with parallel magnetic anisotropy, 90% remanence, and large coercivity were prepared by sputtering on Si substrate in multilayer form and post-annealing in vacuum at 700 °C for 1 h. Effects of Pt and Co concentration on the magnetic properties of the films are studied. The shoulder developed on the hysteresis loop is analyzed.
