Excess enthalpies of liquid mixtures of an aromatic fluorocarbon + a hydrocarbon. Analysis in terms of lattice theory

Abstract The excess energies at constant volume, U V E , have been calculated for mixtures of hexafluorobenzene and of pentafluorobenzene with a range of hydrocarbons. The results of these calculations are analysed using Barker's lattice theory. The theory is able to provide a semi-quantitative account of most of the available experimental results.
