Flexible Microwave Plasmonic Sensor for Noninvasive Measurement of Blood Glucose

2021
In this paper, a flexible microwave plasmonic sensor for noninvasive measurement of blood glucose has been demonstrated. Using inkjet printing technology, metal corrugated ring is printed on the flexible surface to form a localized surface plasmons resonator. Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microfluidic channel is used to simulate the complex blood vessels of human body, which are placed under the resonator. The experimental and simulation results show that the flexible sensor has the advantages of high sensitivity and good robustness. The sensor has great potential in monitoring blood glucose.
