Use of complex ester oil as lubricant for cooling medium compressor
1991
PURPOSE: To enhance the compatibility with a cooling medium by using a lubricant consisting of a dicarboxylic acid and a (poly)glycol, a monocarboxylic acid or its ester with a monoalcohol in a specific cooling medium compressor. CONSTITUTION: A 4-12C saturated dicarboxylic acid (e.g. adipic acid) (A), a (poly)glycol (e.g. diethylene glycol) (B) as an alcohol component and a monocarboxylic acid (e.g. 2-ethylhexanoic acid) or a monoalcohol (e.g. 2- ethylbutanol) (C) are reacted in the presence of an acidic catalyst (e.g. p- toluenesulfonic acid) in a solvent (e.g. cyclohexane) to obtain a lubricant composed of an ester. This lubricant is used in a cooling medium compressor operated by a cooling medium composed of hydrocarbons not containing chlorine and partially fluorinated. COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO
