Versão brasileira da Tuckman Procrastination Scale: adaptação e evidências psicométricas

2020
The objective was to gather evidence of validity and accuracy of the Tuckman Procrastination Scale (TPS) in Brazilian context. Therefore, two studies were carried out. In Study 1, the participants were 210 undergraduate students, with an average age of 23.21 (SD = 7.08). They responded to TPS and demographic issues. The exploratory factor analysis suggested a one-dimensional solution, with Cronbach's alpha (α) and McDonald's omega (ω) equal to .88. In Study 2, the participants were 274 undergraduate students, with an average age of 23.72 (SD = 7.61). A factor confirmatory analysis indicated adequate indicators (CFI = .97, TLI = .96, RMSEA = .06, Pclose = .28). In addition, the reliability was satisfactory (α = .86, ω = .70). Psychometric evidences were found for the Brazilian reality, and TPS could be a useful tool for those interested in the subject.
