Low-earth-orbit micro satellite formation networking load self-adaptation media access control method

2011
The invention aims to provide a low-orbit-micro satellite formation networking load self-adaptation media access control method. The method comprises the following steps of: receiving data which is sent to a node by a master node in a carrier sense multiple access (CSMA) mode; collecting information of number of continuous conflicts, setting times as N and comparing the number of the continuous conflicts with the N; when the number of the continuous conflicts is smaller than the N, keeping the CSMA mode, and when a node i has data to be transmitted, monitoring a signal channel by using the node i, if the signal channel is idle, sending the data to the master node by using the node i, and if the signal channel is not idle, backing off randomly and monitoring the signal channel again by using the node i; and when the number of the continuous conflicts is larger than the N, switching to a time division multiple address (TDMA) mode, and when the node i has the data to be transmitted, checking whether the node i occupies the current time slot or not, if the node i occupies the current time slot, sending the data to the master node by using the node i, and if the node i does not occupy the current time slot, deferring to send the data by using the node i till the next time slot is found. Through the low-orbit-micro satellite formation networking load self-adaptation media access control method, a higher signal channel utilization ratio and higher throughput can be achieved.
