The invention discloses a close-contact type double layer plane radio frequency coil used for composite insulator detection, comprising a front side sub-coil and a back side sub-coil; the inner terminals of the front side sub-coil and the back side sub-coil are used for connecting to a matching circuit; the front side sub-coil is obtained through winding anticlockwise in a plane from inside to the outside; the back side sub-coil is obtained through winding anticlockwise in another plane from the outside to the inside; the front side sub-coil is in parallel with the back side sub-coil; the front side sub-coil and the back side sub-coil are arranged in a mirror symmetric manner and a gap is formed between the front side sub-coil and the back side sub-coil; the outer terminals of the front side sub-coil and the back side sub-coil are connected through a lead wire; and the umbrella skirt of the composite insulator is clamped through the gap and the front side sub-coil and the back side sub-coil are closely attached to the umbrella skirt so as to fasten the radio frequency insulation coil on the composite insulator. The invention generates the radio magnetic field which is good in uniformity and enhances the intensity of the radio frequency magnetic field, The close-contact type double layer plane radio frequency coil can be clamped and fixed with the edge of the composite insulator, which enables the coil and the composite insulator to form a closely combined and relatively stable structure.
