Research progress on pathogenic mechanism of Helicobacter pylori

Helicobacter pylori(Hp) is considered to be the most important pathogenic factor associated with gastric cancer gastritis, peptic ulcer, and other gastrointestinal diseases.The study of pathogenic mechanism has always been the focus.The past researches have revealed some virulence factors such as vacuolating cytotoxin A(VacA), cytotoxin-associated protein A( CagA), Urease, etc.But these reveals of pathogenic mechanisms are still insufficient.Recently, some new virulence factors and mechanisms were have been reported, such as Hp flagllum, HtrA, lipopolysaccharide LPS, adhesion protein BabA, and the mechanism of avoiding stomach acid, escaping innate immunity, invading stem cells, etc.Here, we reviewed these frontiers for readers.
