From the melt processable amino resin-based 1,3,5-triazines and aldehydes

2000
The invention relates to etherified 2,4-diamino-1,3,5-triazine-aldehyde resins, which in contrast to conventional resins of this type, have softening points higher than 100 DEG C and which can be processed, without hardening, in the melt at temperatures ranging from 100 to 200 DEG C, especially at temperatures ranging from 130 to 150 DEG C. The inventive resins can be processed according to thermoplastic shaping methods into both fibers or films as well as into shaped parts. These resins can also be processed in powdery or granulated form since they do not adhere at room temperature. Acidic additives and/or temperatures exceeding 240 DEG C are used to harden these resins.
