Adsorption of N-phenylmaleimide and its derivatives at the iron electrode

1996
Adsorption of N-phenylmaleimide and its derivatives (N-p-methoxyphenylmaleimide and N-p-bromophenylmaleimide) at the iron electrode in neutral water-ethanol solutions was studied by the impedance method. The difference in adsorption behavior of the compounds was found by using back integration of the methoxy-derivative is described by a single adsorption state, while for N-phenylmaleimide and N-p-bromophenylmaleimide, two adsorption states are observed in the plot of ΔG 0 A vs. electrode potential. An attempt was made to find a correlation between the calculated adsorption parameters and quantum-chemical calculations
