Magnetostriction constants of fcc CoFeNi alloys

Abstract The magnetostriction constants λ 100 and λ 111 of fcc Co x Fe y Ni z (0.4 ≤ × ≤ 9, 0.15 ≤ y ≤ 0.5, z ≤ 0.4) alloys were measured at room temperature. The boundaries at which the magnetostriction constants λ 100 , λ 111 and λ s change sign from positive to negative were determined in the fcc CoFeNi alloy.
