The research progress on the silviculture techniques for medicinal raw material plantation of Taxus wallichiana in China

The development of medicinal material plantation of Taxus wallichiana is the major approach for sustainable development of Taxol industry,and the effective measure of protecting natural resources as well.Comparatively,Taxus wallichiana is high in Taxol content,and has great medicinal development value.This paper systematically elaborates the research progress in development technology of medicinal material plantation of Taxus wallichiana in China in the field of improved variety selection,scion pluching nursery construction,seedling propagation,plantation establishment,and raw material collection.Based on existing problems,the paper puts forward the corresponding strategies and suggestions.
