GPS rapid positioning based on the ADPAM algorithm

2011
This paper introduces an algorithm for rapid positioning using two epoch data in GPS, named Adjustment by Partly Mirrored Observations (ADPAM). Firstly, the structural characteristic of the observation matrix in GPS rapid positioning is analyzed. Secondly, according to the characteristic form the above, a new double-difference equation was designed to mitigate the ill-condition of the observation matrixes based on mirroring mapping of the observations. Lastly, the accurate float ambiguity solutions were obtained by using two epoch dates. Combined with LAMBDA method, ADPAM can fix the integer ambiguities correctly. Compared with the traditional methods, ADPAM can improve the efficiency obviously in rapid positioning. So, the new algorithm has an extensive application outlook in deformation monitoring, pseudokinematic relative positioning and attitude determination, etc.
