THE INFLUENCE OF FIBRINOGENOLYTIC AND FIBRINOLYTIC SPLIT PRODUCTS ON THE LAST STAGE OF COAGULATION.

1963
Fibrinogenolytic and fibrinolytic split products were compared with respect to their influence on the last stage of coagulation.1. In contrast to fibrinogenolytic products, fibrinolytic split products are not incorporated into fibrin clots.2. Fibrinogenolytic products prolong the thrombin time of plasma more effectively than do fibrinolytic products.3. Fibrinogenolytic products are not converted to fibrinolytic split products on incubation with thrombin.
