External mounted on the roof rack airbag

It describes systems for providing an external vehicle airbags for reducing the negative impact of a vehicle rollover. In one exemplary implementation, one or more airbags are arranged within the fixed to a vehicle roof roof spars. In the case of a vehicle rollover, the airbags deploy and extend along the sides of the vehicle down. The air bag can be held by one or more elastic retaining bands in the desired deployed position.
