The invention belongs to the technical field of chemical additives, and particularly relates to water-soluble calcium stearate dispersion liquid and a preparation method thereof. The water-soluble calcium stearate dispersion liquid provided by the invention is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 250 to 400 parts of calcium stearate, 8 to 15 parts of polyoxyethylene ether, 8 to 20 parts of polyoxyethylene ether sodium salt, 20 to 25 parts of oleic acid, 1 to 5 parts of dispersing agent, 0 to 5 parts of antifoaming agent, 1 to 5 parts of pH regulator, and 400 to 550 parts of water, wherein the polyoxyethylene ether comprises iso-tridecanol polyoxyethylene ether and/or nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether; the polyoxyethylene ether sodium salt comprises polyoxyethylene fatty alcohol sodium sulfate and/or sodium nonyl phenol polyethyleneoxy ether sulfonate. As proved by experimental results, the water-soluble calcium stearate dispersion liquid provided by the invention is 30 to 120CP (25 DEG C) in viscosity, is 40 to 50 percent in solid content, and has high storage stability.
