State of Cellular and Humoral Immunity in Patients with Kidney Tumors

It is known at present that reduction of immune activity may precede tumor growth in an organism. On the other hand, reduction of immune competence may be the result of present malignant process. Growing number of tumor cells has immunodepressive influence. All these factors show the necessity of thorough study of relation between tumor and immune system of an organism. For the last years significant attention has been given to study of immune status of cancer patients which probably will have prognostic value in oncologic disease.
