The Method of Amplitude-Preserving Splicing Processing with Well Information for Fluid Identification

2019
Summary Accurate fluid identification based on seismic data is the key to the success of lithologic reservoir exploration. It is necessary to do amplitude-preserving splicing processing when the lithologic reservoir is located in the overlap region of different seismic surveys. But conventional splicing processing can't achieve consistent correcting of seismic amplitude for fluid identification as the scale of amplitude for fluid identification is inconsistent between different seismic surveys. We propose a practical method to achieve amplitude-preserving splicing processing based on the seismic data with well constraints. Firstly, do statistical analysis between seismic amplitude and reservoir with different fluids in each seismic survey. Secondly, design an amplitude consistent matching correction factor for unifying the scale of fluid identification between different seismic surveys. Practical application proves that this method has good application in amplitude-preserving splicing processing for fluid identification.
