Electromagnetic Calorimetry for the ILC

carlogan@in2p3.frTheCALICECollaborationbuildselectromagneticandhadroniccalorimetersoptimisedforparti-cleflowatILC.Twophysicsprototypesfortheanalogelectromagneticcalorimeters(ScECALandSiW ECAL)wereextensivelytestedwith beams. Bothshoweda remarkablefacilityofoperation,lownoise andhighstability intime. Thefirstanalysisofthe testbeamdataindicatethattheymeetthe ILC requirements in terms of linearity and single-particle energy resolution. The ScECALshows a linearity within 6% for electrons from 1 to 32 GeV and has a relative energy resolutionof (15.15±0.03(stat))/!
