Thermomagnetic effects in the mixed state of high-T{sub c} superconductors

In the high-T{sub c} superconductors a variety of thermomagnetic effects occurs above the irreversibility- or melting line. The authors present a brief overview of the experimental results, their systematics and their interpretation.
