SECURITY OPTIMIZATION FOR AGENT PLATFORMS AND REDUCING TURNAROUND TIME FOR MOBILE AGENTS

Abstract In this paper experiments are described that result in optimization of the computation cost for an agent platform that appear due to complex security operations and causes reduction in the turnaround time of the mobile agents. A detached security manager provides comprehensive security services for the mobile agents on behalf of a set of agent platforms. In this paper, a comparison of detached verses integrated security manager from the agent platform has been performed. The simulation results show a significant improvement in the turnaround time of the mobile agent. For these simulations OMNeT++, a discrete simulation tool and Java development environment jdk 1.5 are used. Copyright © 2007 IFAC.
