Vehicle-road cooperative communication method and system

The invention discloses a vehicle-road cooperative communication method and system. The method comprises the steps that a vehicle-mounted device which has wireless communication capacity and can collect vehicle condition information is arranged in each vehicle; a road side system which has wireless and wire communication capacity and can collect road surface information is arranged on two sides of a road; a background system which processes messages comprising the vehicle condition information and the road surface information and sends corresponding processing results; by conducting wireless communication with the road side system, the vehicle-mounted device of each vehicle sends the vehicle condition information of the corresponding vehicle to the road side system and receives the processing results sent by the background system and forwarded by the road side system; by conducting wire communication with the background system, the road side system sends the collected road surface information and the received vehicle condition information to the background system and forwards the received corresponding processing results sent by the background system to the corresponding vehicle-mounted device. According to the vehicle-road cooperative communication method and system, operation and utilization efficiency of a transportation system is improved, and accidents and secondary accidents are prevented to a great degree.
