The invention provides a flyer type coil winding machine, which comprises a chuck (12) that clamps an iron core (20); a flyer (23) in a tube nozzle (34) that discharges a wire rod (35); a welding head(60) that welds the wire rod (35) to a terminal (20C and 20D) formed on the lateral side of the iron core (20). The chuck (12) and the flyer (23) are arranged at one side of the iron core (20); the welding head (60), the chuck (12) and the flyer (23) are arranged at another side of the iron core (20), so that the interference from the flyer (23) and the welding head (60) can be prevented during the winding and welding operation.
