Analysis of Jane Eyre from the perspective of New Historicism

This paper analyses Jane Eyre from the perspective of new historicism. In the first part,by explaining the influence of social background to the creation of Jane Eyre and the influence of characters in Jane Eyre to the development of the society,it analyses the relationship between literature and history. The second part particularly elaborates the new historicism strategies used in the creation of Jane Eyre,such as to analyse history from personal perspective,subversion and oppression,self-fashioning and so on. The last part is a conclusion,which further expounds the significance of interpret Jane Eyre from the perspective of new historicism.
