Pulverized Coal Gasification Simulation Based on Aspen Plus Software

Taking the Aspen Plus software as the simulation tool,by selecting the reaction balance model and using the minimizing method of the Gibbs free energy the Shell pulverized coal gasification model was established;through the simulation for the coal kinds used in the Shen Hua Coal Gasification Plant,Zhangyi Chemical Fertilizer Plant and Tianjing alkali plants the established model has been inspected,the result indicates that the gasification process for using the nitrogen gas to transport the pulverized coal can be smoothly simulated,but for using the CO2 gas to transport the pulverized coal the simulation deviation for gasification process is relatively bigger.Taking the coal kind used in Zhangyi Chemical Fertilizer plant as the example,the reasonableness,taking about 2% of the total heat value of coal as the heat dispersal loss,was inspected;the gasification property under different operating conditions was studied,the result indicates that increasing the temperature and the pressure can make the gasification process to be strengthened.
