The thermoelectric generator with integrated pre-stressed storage

2010
The invention relates to a thermoelectric generator having a housing, in which at least one heat source pipe, at least one heat sink tube and at least a generator member between the source of heat pipe and the heat sink tube are arranged. According to the invention a bias-bearing device is provided in the housing which provides a spring force with which the pipes are biased towards each other and compressing the tubes and the intervening generator element. An inside of the housing of the bias-bearing structure forms a support for the bias-bearing device which is acted upon by a counterforce of the spring force of the bias-bearing device. The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing a thermoelectric generator. At least one heat source pipe, at least one heat sink tube and at least one generator element is introduced into a housing. The at least one generator member is biased between the source of heat pipe and the heat sink tube. In the housing, a bias-bearing device is further arranged which generates a spring force for applying a bias voltage with which the pipes are biased towards each other and the tubes compress the intervening generator element. The tubes are clamped in the bias-bearing device or the biasing bearing device is clamped to the pipes. The tubes are subjected to a force through an inside of the housing through which the biasing-bearing device is supported.
