Genetic features of Al-Fe-humus podzols in the forest zone of Northern Fennoscandia

Al-Fe-humus podzols develop from sandy rocks of marine and continental origin in the forest zone of northern Fennoscandia. These soils are characterized by a distinct eluvial-illuvial redistribution of chemical elements within the profile. The intensity of this process depends on the genesis, texture, and chemical composition of the parent rocks.
