Rapid thermal annealing of n-(Cd, Hg)Te crystals
1997
Abstract We studied native defect formation in n-(Cd, Hg)Te bulk crystals and thin layers by non-equilibrium techniques, such as pulse laser irradiation and pulsed ohmic heating. The short-term annealing was performed in a vacuum by passing current directly through a sample. The temperature during annealing in a vacuum was measured by registering the Planck black-body radiation from the sample surface. A surface thin-film thermometer was used for temperature monitoring during the laser irradiation.
