Analysis of Ionospheric Zonal Irregularity Velocity Under Low Latitude During Solar Maxima 24

2018
Ionospheric scintillation have their origin in plasma irregularities that cause rapid fluctuations of phase and amplitude in transmitted signals. The applied methodology uses data provided by GPS Ephemeris and scintillation monitors as input to estimate plasma bubbles drift velocities. Results for a low-latitude station in Brazil are consistent with bibliography and indicate the reliability of the method and its usage as a tool to analyze large data to select samples for deeper scintillation studies.
