Wyniki badań cytogenetycznych u 1817 osÓb z niepowodzeniami rozrodu

Cytogenetic analysis was performed in 1817 patients - 871 couples, 65 women and 10 men -all with a history of reproductive failure in different forms of infertility, spontaneous abortions and/or birth of a child with multiple congenital anomalies. Chromosomal aberrations were diagnosed in 68 cases, which constituted 7.48% per couple. Among 61 cases with structural aberrations the patients had either reciprocal or robertsonian translocation, eight inversions. Twice a marker chromosome and single cases with del(Y), ins(9), fra(7) were found. In four cases, numerical aberrations of chromosome X occurred, three times in the mosaic form. These data stress again the necessity of cytogenetic evaluation of both partners in the case of two spontaneous abortions or different reproductive failures in history.
