Fingertip-based interactive projector-camera system
2013
We present a vision-based human computer interaction system which consists of only one projector and one camera. The proposed system is able to convert an arbitrary flat surface into a touch-screen. It allows user to interact with a computer by the fingertip on any flat surface anywhere and anytime. We design a vision-based algorithm that can identify fingertip and detect touch processing with a precision of few millimeters on the surface. The motivation of our algorithm relies on the predicting image methods and a 3D sensor model. The active vision system is developed by a projector and a camera, and by using triangulation we can calculate the distant between fingertip and display surface, then distinguishing whether a physical touch takes place. The experiment shows good results and good performance.
