State and perspectives of development of mechanization of vegetable growing in the Republic of Belarus

Analysis of the modern state of mechanization of vegetable production in the Republic of Belarus proved the necessity of implementation of vegetable cultivation and production processes not only with the single machines but with the machine systems combined according to the realized technological processes. The tendency for agricultural machinery reequipment with agricultural machinery of new generation which could provide the increasing of production efficiency, energy and fuel economy, creation of the optimal conditions for the vegetable production talking place in Belarus was analysed. Short descriptions and technical characteristic of the following national newly developed machines for vegetable growing were presented: Combined sowing unit AKP-4; Tightening loop strapping and vegetable sowing machine MPO-2,8 (with the dynamic tillage tools); Seed sowing machine for single-seed planting SPV-4; Universal cultivator and spraying machine KOU-4/6; Planting and transplanting machine RM-6; Planter MV-2,8; Universal vegetable cultivator KO-2,8; Irrigation machine with portable installation UD-2500; Assemblage for drop irrigation KKP-1; Universal platform assembly for vegetable harvesting; Haulm separator BUN-1500; Digging machine with swathing device KL-1,4A; Pickup elevator PP-1,4; Combine PKK-2-02 with adapter circuit for onion and red beet harvesting; Root harvester MKV-1; Container ship for vegetable transportation K-4; Machinery complex for the postharvest treatment of onion and root vegetables; Cleaning and calibrating machine for planting onion
