Nouvelles perspectives industrielles pour les hydrolats

Abstract Hydrolats have the same pharmacological activities as essential oils, but more attenuated, because of lower concentrations in terpenoids. GC—MS was used in the chemical composition determination of four hydrolats: lavender (linalool, linalyl acetate), thyme (p-cymene, thymol), hydrolat of rosemary batch 1 (α-pinene, 1–8 cineole, linalool, camphor, linalyl acetate), hydrolat of rosemary batch 2 (1–8 cineole, linalool traces, camphor, borneol, α-terpineol, verbenone). Centesimal composition of each terpen was obtained by internal normalisation, concentration of each terpen was obtained by the use of internal standard method.
