A Dynamic Trust Management Mechanism in Distributed CRNs

2016
Cognitive radio technology is used to alleviate the contradiction between the scarcity problem and low utilization rate of spectrum resources. However, the existence of unbelievable data leads to an inaccurate judge for some available resources, which causes the failed network behaviors and interferes the authorized networks. The traditional security techniques can't defense this threat efficiently. This paper proposes a dynamic trust management mechanism based on cognitive cycle in distributed Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs). The proposed mechanism can accomplish the reward and penalty to the users by dividing the benefits, intentions and features of users' behaviors, using multi-factor to calculate the normal and cooperate reputation in category, and using the dynamic selection of forgetting factor to update the reputation. The theories and experiments verify this mechanism has better feasibility, accuracy, dynamicity and security.
