Quitosana: alternativa terapéutica

In order to find alternative biomaterials in medical/dental therapy, different materials have been studied in both animal models and humans. Chitin is the second most abundant polymer, so it is reasonable to consider its advantages in the use of regenerative periodontal therapy. The obtaining of this material and its processing and handling offers solutions to the clinical scenarios faced in the query, the ability to modify factors such as pH, morphology, consistency and concentration of chitosan open options to be used in areas criticism as the oral cavity.
