An approach to representing spatio-temporal ontology in the geospatial semantic web

2016
An ontology is used to divide knowledge of the different fields and tagged resources through representing conceptions and their relationships in the fields, which plays an important role in the development of the Geospatial Semantic Web. In the paper, we propose an ontology construction method to represent spatio-temporal knowledge from three aspects which are geographical object model, spatial model, and temporal model. This ontology model is employed to represent the geographical information of Huludao city in China, which lays a solid foundation for the reasoning of spatio-temporal knowledge.
