COS 94270 : A mid-late maturing variety

Variety COS 94270 exhibited its superiority in cane yield and CCS MT/ha over the standard CoS 767. Its ratooning ability was also superior to the standard in respect of yield and CCS MT/ha. CoS 94270 was moderately resistant to red-rot and resistant to smut. It also showed tolerance to wilt, GSD under field conditions. Incidence of shoot borer, stalk borer and top borer was lower than the check.
