Pharmacy Wastewater Disposal in the Contact Oxidation Process Strengthened With Effective Microorganisms

An experiment has been made on the pharmacy wastewater disposal in the contact oxidation process system by adding EM, as EM can accelerate degradation of organic matter and there are carriers which can be loaded by EM in the contact oxidation process system. The results showed that the effective inoculation of EM was between 3×10~(-5) and 3×10~(-4). When the inoculation of EM was 1×10~(-4), the reduction rate of COD_(Cr) increased as high as 12.4%. When the inoculation of EM was 1×10~(-4), the hydraulic relay time was 4h, the gas to liquid ratio was 10∶1, the COD_(Cr) value of the effluent water was 93.60mg/L and met the emission standard.
