Design of Indoor Positioning System Based on LTE

Long Term Evolution (LTE) 3GPP communication technology in recent years, new technology start-largest R & D projects. This kind of OFDM / MIMO technology as the core can be seen as the basis for future 4G standard. LTE has a high data rate, packet transmission, low latency, covering a wide field and core network technology is backward compatible features. With the increase of mobile communication services categories based positioning technology base is also more and more people's attention, traditional satellite positioning technology generally only suitable for outdoor environment, indoor positioning based only station or wireless access point. Due to the special nature of the indoor environment, such as wall barrier and pedestrian interference, etc., will affect the positioning accuracy. How effective access to location information, to overcome the interference, to simplify the calculation, improve positioning accuracy, as the current hot research topic, but also the contents of this paper. This paper introduces the positioning methods available positioning technology and LTE technology available to locate the relevant part of the agreement with a detailed analysis and discussion of how to build LTE localization algorithm simulation system. The paper describes the concept of using LTE signal for indoor positioning. Firstly, it proposal one acquisition and tracking method based on LTE signal and the infrastructure of indoor positioning system based on LTE is given. Positioning works as follows: Positioning signals based LTE has both communication and positioning functions. On the one hand, make use of LTE signal good autocorrelation properties to get signal capture and then achieve rapid coarse positioning, on the other hand make use of powerful communications features of LTE networks, ranging to other sensors or location information is transferred to the backend server through LTE link for solver, the server on which the information solver, solver results are sent to each location via LTE link network nodes in order to achieve multi-sensor fusion to improve the indoor positioning accuracy, improve indoor positioning performance . Secondly, the architecture of LTE indoor positioning system is described from the perception layer, network layer, application layer and design of some key technologies such as indoor LTE ranging technology, time and frequency synchronization technology is given. Thirdly, this paper studies the existing Chan algorithm, MPDA algorithm and IMM algorithm several classic algorithms, and its simulation. On this basis, the paper according to the agreement LTE positioning, we propose a comprehensive utilization Chan MPDA algorithm positioning algorithm and improved algorithm. The results show that the improved algorithm compared with existing algorithms can more effectively overcome NLOS (Non-line-of-sight, non-line of sight) interference with higher accuracy and better practical value. Finally, the implementation structure and test results are given simulation system, the simulation results show that the system designed to meet the fast real-time precise indoor positioning requirements.
