Kiran Nagarkar is the significant writer in the canon of Indian English Literature. Ravan and Eddie is an extreamly funny novel by Kiran Nagar. The novelist presents a picture of adventurous childhood of two children (Ravan & eddie) in post colonial Urban India.Discrimination in religion and culture is one of the themes of Ravan & Eddie.The novelist gives a record of growth and development of two children on different floors of chawl in Bombay.The novelist Kiran Nagarkar presents a picture of fantastic childhood of two guyes. Ravan is from Hindu family & Eddie is from Ramon Catholic family.Because of differences in religion their culture, tradition, languages & customs are different. In spite of such discriminations they do not fight with each other.They do not hate but they respect the other’s religion because they like the customs from other religion. The present research paper focuses the discriminations in the chawl in Bombay, the cosmopolitan city at different levels.
