Application of oxygen atomization of traditional Chinese medicine in diabetic eye disease

2017
Objective To explore the nursing effect of oxygen atomization of traditional Chinese medicine in improving blurred vision in diabetic eye disease. Methods Sixty-one patients with diabetic eye disease hospitalized from Jan. to May 2015 were selected and divided randomly into observation group with 31 cases and control group with 30 cases. Patients in the observation group were treated in the eyes by atomization of the eyes with normal saline (0.9%, 7 ml) + breviscapine, the traditional Chinese medicine (10 mg) , connected by oxygen eye masks, while patients in the control group recived routine eye care. Patients in the two groups were compared about their symptom score of blurred vision and the rapeutic effect. Results After one course of treatment, symptom score of blurred vision in the observation group was (0.87±0.763) points, and (1.93±0.785) in the control group (t=5.359, P<0.05) ; after the treatment, response rate of eyesight improvement in the observation group was 48.4%, and 20.0% in the control group (χ2=5.442, P<0.05) . Conclusions By applying oxygen atomization of traditional Chinese medicine, blurred vision of the diabetics can be better improved.
