La planificación sostenible a través del SIG y la teledetección

2006
Nowadays, the people are more conscious about the negative effects that human activities could cause in the environment. Consequently, is needed the land use assignment according with the capacity of the territory. For that reason, appears the European Project Interreg IIIB Medocc Technolangue, in which this study is framed. The present project pretends to carry out a sustainable territorial management in the Western Mediterranean countries. The main goal is the interchange of methodologies and the creation of a common language in the territory plans. In this way the countries members of the project could arrive to a global sustainable development. The new technologies, GIS and Remote Sensing, have been the tools used in the proposed methodology for the territorial management process. The GINTAMA has compiled the digital information available for the selected study area, in order to perform an ecological, landscaping, productive and cultural valuation. The obtained result is a total qualitative valuation map, which will allow the orientation for decision makers with respect to the properly distribution of the predicted actions in the territorial planning.
