Neutron diffraction study of Ti0.8V0.2C0.62 and Ti0.8V0.2C0.62Hx

Abstract The experimental data of neutron diffraction study of Ti 0.8 V 0.2 C 0.62 , Ti 0.8 V 0.2 C 0.62 H 0.08 and Ti 0.8 V 0.2 C 0.62 H 0.11 prepared by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis are presented and discussed. It is established that in Ti 0.8 V 0.2 C 0.62 exist cubic (space group Fd3m) and trigonal (space group R 3 ¯ m ) ordered structures. Only cubic ordered structure (space group Fd3m) exists in the compound carbidehydrides. The long-range order parameter is higher in Ti 0.8 V 0.2 C 0.62 H x than in Ti 0.8 V 0.2 C 0.62 .
